ORSER applied to the European Union Commission in order to be authorized / equivalence within the scope of the EU organic agriculture legislation 834/2007 and 889/2008 in the year 2014. The authorization / equivalency has been granted by the Commission and published in the European Union Official Gazette dated 16/12/2015 (Official Journal of the European Union - Commission Implementation Regulation (EU) 2015/2345).

According to the regulation published in the EC Official Gazette of 14 December 2017,

ORSER's geographical working authority has been extended in these countries; 

Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Bosnia Herzegovina and Nepal. 

In this scope, the code numbers issued by EC are given below:

• Azerbaijan: AZ-BIO-166
• Bosnia and Herzegovina: BA-BIO-166
• Georgia: GE-BIO-166
• Iran: IR-BIO-166
• Kyrgyzstan: KG-BIO-166
• Kazakhstan: KZ-BIO-166
